Very barrique-weighted nose, a lot of berries reminds Merlot, made to a state of Ticino. On the palate, a lot of power, nice freshness, red-berry fruits and spicy notes in the style of recent years. Independent but not quite my style. 2014-2026.

Poujeaux:
green pepper in the nose, palate fresh but got a little too lean. The tannins are ripe, but still want something in addition to the whole. Takes time, has reserves. 2018-2028

The tasting conditions were expected as well, even if this time lacked the spit cup made of cardboard. Was a pity, however, that some representatives were visibly tired and listless. How scared away customers from the Expovina

This year I tried again to visit some stands on the wine vessels of the Expovina. Usually you come out of sheer people do not really adjust to taste alone. But this Sunday it was between 13 and 16 hours a perfectly quiet afternoon.

My visit at the booth of Louis Bovard was meant as a broadening of horizons in the direction of the red wines of this quality good. As a longtime customer who regularly buys a few bottles of Medi Nette, Ribex or other white gems from Bovard, I wanted to know if such a magnificent terroir Pinot's is also good. Unfortunately

dark purple, almost black core. Beautiful shine.

Syrah pointed nose, only a lot of dark berries, blackberries, blueberries, and to notes of pepper, then an almost floral note and a pleasant tartness, some sand spike and the scents of a cut and remember the sun-dried wild flower meadow.

Fresh, fruity start, then quickly and powerfully mouth-filling, much tannin, finely woven and with it a very pleasant acidity, flavors of cherry compote, some Christmas spices and a hint of coffee.

In the finish, the wine - if he is drunk at 16 degrees - long and balanced response. At higher temperatures, the alcohol is quite high of 15% a little too noticeable.

has undoubtedly proved the company Gazzar with this wine even more of a good nose for a Preis-/Leistungs-Schnäppchen. If you like authentic South of France, which body, strength and flavor combine with cool but not plump fruit that is in this price range have to look far to find a better wine.

Ségla 2006 - wonderful refreshment of Margaux.

During our holiday in Piedmont, we have tried on a beautiful sunny afternoon, the second wine of Rauzan-Ségla 2006; a very pleasant change after all the Nebbiolo and Barbera's s. Here are my notes about this:


Medium burgundy, light ruby reflexes. In the nose is very fresh and flowery, as are scents of rose petals, a bit of eucalyptus and some chocolate, served with a subtle touch of wood. On the palate, soft start, beautiful Miineralik, at first rather modest, red-berry fruits which, over time more and more noticeable. The acid is present, the tannins are moderate but ripe. Very nice enamel. Rather slim but well-balanced wine, very delicately constructed, the components very well coordinated.

A very nice and very digestible Bordeaux is good to drink already but still good for several years may sleep in the basement. 16 vvpunkte to enjoy 2010-2015. Available from www.gazzar.ch

Matured Carmine, significantly lighter border. The nose is not very expressive but quite pleasant. Subtle notes of cedar, leather and eucalyptus to a red-berry fruits, very fine. On the palate, soft start, very balanced, moderately complex, with hints of red berries, Lakrizze, mushrooms and coffee. The tannins are still present, the fruit clearly in retreat. In the finish La Lagune 1994 short but consistent. All in all, certainly not a great but a very pleasant-to-drink wine that accompanied my Hohrücken grilled today evening perfect. 15 vvpunkte. He can drink in 2010 or 2015 or 2020. Better he is not anymore. But surely it takes more than 10 years until it noticeably worse. Just a matter of taste. The remaining bottle of times I put to page.

Ch La Gurgue 1995: Carmine Red, ripe color, slightly lighter border. Immediately after opening very accessible, fragrant nose, typical of Margaux, a little smoke, a lot of chocolate, To dark red berries and cedar. On the palate, beautifully balanced with a fully mature tannins, and a lot of enamel and an amazing amount of depth. Medium length, very harmonious finish. Certainly not a great wine, but just perfect drink now and very wholesome. 5.16 vvpunkte. 2010 enjoy 2015.

Ch Poujeaux 1995: Darker color than La Gurgue acts, still very fit. behavior in the nose first right, then after 2 hours decanting wonderful Bordeaux aromas, as is first of very fine cigar box, some smoke, then white lilies, violets and red berry fruit and coffee. On the palate, soft start, pleasant melting, ripe, red berries, Lakrizze and again a slightly smoky note, the tannins still available, mature and well integrated, the whole rounded off by a rather subtle acidity, very elegant! Poujeaux 1995 antrinkbar, but could set in 2-3 years and definitely has a jagged reserves for another 10 years. A beautiful, classic Bordeaux value in the payments of class. 17 vvpunkte. 2010-2020.

Last night I tasted in the saddle Fusser Wiiprob some wines. My focus was on the Pinot Noir, but additionally I can also try one or the other "exotic wine." As always, my notes spontaneous snapshots are sometimes not 100% under ideal conditions have come to pass. Where I have known the prices of Wines and a Preis-/Genuss-Einschätzung specified.

Pinot Noir Late Harvest 2009
Fruity nose, red berries, some smoke, very discreet touch of wood, very typical of the variety. On the palate until soft start, lots of red berries, very velvety tannins, fresh acidity. In lasting finish the alcohol does something noticeable. Nice Pinot. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015. Ca. 17 francs, very good value. Pinot Noir Barrique 2009


Bright ruby, the nose still quite strongly influenced by the wood, spicy, nice Beerenaromatik, plus some herbs. On the palate, fresh, very typical of the variety, of medium stature, but well balanced with ripe tannins, for the year also wonderful fresh acidity and very balanced wood use. An elegant, sensitive vinified Pinot, bravo! 5.17 vvpunkte, 2011-2017. With "only" 20 francs a Top Buy!

Merlot / Pinot 2008 Merlot
Distinct flavors in the nose, slightly vegatil reminiscent of tomato, a little less deep than the pure Pinot. Meaty upbeat, very good structure, with brightened tannins and good acidity. Medium long finish makes fun and has reserves. 17vvpunkte, 2011-2018. 28 francs, not cheap but worth the price.

Cabador 2008
smoky peaty nose, a little cloves, stable, a slight Muffton. On the palate, soft, round kick, then very fruchtbetong, rather with moderately complex red berry aromas. A lot of acid and tannin. Well done, though not very inspiring. Vvpunkte 15, 2010-2014. Fri 19.50. No must-have.

Expressive, very himbeerige nose. On the palate, nice fruit, quite a lot of meat on the bone, flavors of gummy bears but all in all, very pinot-type manner and pure. A young and rather cool to drinking pinot for the balcony. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2013. Pinot Noir Barrique 2007


depth nose, reminiscent of a great Burgundy, great flavor. Soft palate opening, full, almost wide, but then are added beautiful tannins and a fresh acidity carrying the red berry flavors well, back to a nice spiciness and a little Lakrizze. Very complex wine. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015.

Simple, clear Pinot nose, very typical of the variety, good berry fruit. On the palate, fruity, simple structure, easily digestible with a good glaze. Cool to drinking, uncomplicated Pinot pleasure. 5.14 vvpunkte, 2010-2012.

Pinot Noir Late Harvest 2009
right wood said nose, subtle aromas of Pinot. On the palate, very distinctive, beautiful red berry fruit, moderately complex, but with good Gerbstoffgerüst. Not particularly deep but done very well. Vvpunkte 15, 2010-2014.

Rustic smoky nose, quite interesting with a mineral, volcanic note. Good start, a lot of fruit, Gletscherzältli, harmonious acidity, moderate tannin. No paragon of complexity but a very harmonious wine. 15 vvpunkte, 2010-2014. For 12 francs a very good Pinot.

2009 Pinot Noir barrel samples from the expansion
yet coined Gletscherzältli flavors dominate the expressive, fruity nose. On the palate, fleshy, round with very low acidity. Character has less to drink than the '08, rather young. 5.14 vvpunkte, 2011-2013. Also 12 francs, a fair price for a good table wine.

Pinot Noir Spätlese 2008
After the first bottle had a cork taint creeping presented the 2nd Bottle much better. Typical Pinot nose, good, fruity palate, medium build, rather rustic but not boring and uneventful with good acidity, and nature reserves. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2014. For about 16 francs a very good value. Pinot Noir Barrique 2008


Clear wood note, a lot of spice, a hint of cassis, white pepper. Great taste, very elegant, classic, good structure, wonderful lively acidity and solid finish. A very characterful Pinot with corners and edges and reserves. Very inspiring. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2011-2017. 25 francs, priced at the upper limit.

Cuvée Primeur (50% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon 35% Cabernet Franc 15%)
shows in the nose, the slightly herbaceous flavor of Cabernet Franc. On the palate, only a whole load of fruit, then resist spicy at the same solid structure. The wine combines fruit and power exquisitely. Like Enrico Trapletti presses in Ticino top grapes his "Trapletti" in stainless steel tanks and an inter-esting attempt this assemblage the Bordeaux varieties: remove it without wood. Getting used to, but I like it. 17 vvpunkte. 2010-2014. At 20 francs worth clearly a sin.

Le Rêve expanded in 2006
classic Bordeaux blend in the barrel. Coca-Cola very ripe nose tends to oxidize. On the palate, supple, round, more modern looking, again cola flavors (Cola Fröschli) remind me of Bordeaux copies of the new world. A flatterer at the level of a simple, more modern Cru Bourgeois made. To be the dream must, in my view still worked somewhat. The Cuvée Future shows that the facilities were there. 5.14 vvpunkte. 2010-2013. With about 30 francs no pattern.

Pinot Noir Old Vines 2009
Classic, deep Pinot nose, smoky back components. On the palate, intense, a lot of meat on the bones, yet very elegant and very fresh. There is nothing of too much or too little. 16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015. For almost 15 francs a highlight. Pinot Noir Barrique 2008


Wow, a Burgundian nose, deep, smoky, complex, with lovely spicy touch, a little thyme. On the palate, then an explosion of flavors, red and blue berries, spices, pepper, beautifully fresh and mineral, dense and yet not clumsy. Pinot elegance at its finest. This is top! Vvpunkte 18, 2010-2017. For 20 francs an absolute highlight.

Trottenfüür 2009 (Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot)
little herbaceous nose, still very young and impetuous. On the palate, almost sweet-looking candy aromas, plenty of fruit, very round, soft tannins. Quite modern and to me a bit too mainstream. 5.15 vvpunkte. 2010-2014. 17 francs.

Herbaceous, slightly reductive nose, a little peat eingies at depth with Burgundian overtones. On the palate, very fruity, lots of red berries, delicate flavor and rather low acidity. Vvvpunkte 15, 2010-2014.

greasy nose, reminiscent of the Bacon-Snacketti of doubt, do something Lakrizze. On the palate fresh, spicy, very elegant body, good balance of fruit, acidity and tannin, a bit too heavy wood. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015.

Pinokrat 2009
Berry nose, very alcoholic with hints of Porto, a little banana. Meaty, wide mouth, a lot of power but clearly at the expense of elegance. The acid is low, the wine seems a bit clumsy. Lives of clearly the fruit. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2013.

Very stressed wood nose, hints of caramel and chocolate, the fruit in the background. On the palate, meaty, cooked with strong berry flavors. Too wide, too fat, too heavy wood. No elegance. 5.14 vvpunkte, 2010-2016

Pinot Noir Barrique 2008
Significant cassis notes in the nose, plus a nice, fresh flavor. On the palate, great structure, nice berry fruit and subtle Holzaromatik. Much more elegant than the 2007 Selection with medium long finish. Must Pinot taste. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2017.

Pinot Noir Barrique Selection 2008
re-developed in 100% new oak and again dominated the wood a little too much. The balance is better than in the 2007, this 08 looks fresher, has a pleasant acidity, lovely aromas of red and blue berries and fine, ripe tannins. Everything should be better at everything than in 2007 but the wood can be also used subtle. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2017.

Pinot Noir Barrique 2008 Erdwein
Wow, this is fun. The Erdwein was in a barrel, stored, buried 2 meters deep. The wine has a wonderful Beerenaromatik in the nose, combined with a fresh flavor. On the palate with great structure, very balanced aromas of berries and wood flavors, accompanied by one-part acid. All in all, very refreshing. 5.16 vvvpunkte +. 2010-2017 +

Pinot Noir Pur Sang 2007 Pinot
For a very dark color. Deep nose, not as expressive as the cuvée Charlotte, still somewhat restrained. On the palate, with very strong top structure, for my taste a lot of wood and a little too bold but quite impressive for a Pinot. look for those that power. The color is amazing, deep burgundy, still very youthful, almost black in the core.

On the palate, meaty kick, great, red berry fruit, grapes again sugary sweetness and slightly peaty aroma extract, the whole accompanied by strong, angular tannins and crisp acidity. In the finish of medium length, maybe a little mortified.

An unexpectedly beautiful drinking pleasure. The wine is just starting his day. It can be Angegrunken (1-2h decanting pay), but should ideally remain are about 5-8 years. 17 + vvpunkte (90) - 2015-2022 +

A few days ago we enjoyed with Tony three respectively 4 beautiful wines. Two half bottles Talbot in 1982 with a different level and a bottle Branaire Pontet Canet 1982, and 1986th

was interesting to compare it to the very different stages of the two half bottles. Although both Fläschlein was taken from the same wooden box and the same basement level of a bottle against the "mid shoulder" while the other is still full bottle was filled to the neck.

Ch Talbot 1982, lower level, 37.5cl bottle: The wine is much more mature though not at all bad. It dominated tertiary aromas of forest floor, mushroom, cigar box, but to also mocha and some smoke. Last night I was able to taste the wine shop in Schuer Seewen-Schwyz two new products from Austria. The new wine line called Aurie and is therefore extremely modern in design. The line includes 5 wines, 2 white (Pinot Blanc and GM) and 3 red (Zweigelt, St. Laurent and All Red - a Rotweincuvé). In keeping with modern design, the line also has the innovative Alcoa-glass seal that can be easily opened simply by pressing with your thumb. I have tasted

the Grüner Veltliner and the St. Laurent:

The Grüner Veltliner shows very typical of the variety of fresh, tart, fruity nose, some citrus flavors and hay. The palate is quite broad for a GM but it also very smooth. For my taste the acid is a little too subtle, this wine is extremely drinkable and should be well received by the general public. The wine is vinified perfect and fun. Ideal for a simple drink. 5.15 vvpunkte (84), now enjoy up to 2012.


The St. Laurent presents itself vigorously in the nose, with cool, dark berry fruit, there are many blackberries, black cherries and a little cassis, plus a subtle roasted flavor and a lovely spiciness reminiscent of lavender in late summer. On the palate, soft start, then a lot of meat, great acid-tannin structure, very round, soft mouth feel. In the finish of medium length and very consistent. Tonight we enjoyed a Pinot from Italy. This much anticipated: a really great wine!

Wonderfully fresh, very typical Pinot nose, red berries, delicate spice, a little bacon, very deep, and with perfect, subtle use of wood. On the palate, round kick, great, typical of Pinot fruit flavors, then top tannin / acid structure and then a fine spiciness. Long, very harmonious finish. Reminds me of one of the biggest names from the Grisons (eg Wegelin Riserva). 5.17 vvpunkte. Now to 2018.
