Schafuuser Wiiprob 2010 Last night I tasted in the saddle
Fusser Wiiprob some wines. My focus was on the Pinot Noir, but additionally I can also try one or the other "exotic wine." As always, my notes spontaneous snapshots are sometimes not 100% under ideal conditions have come to pass. Where I have known the prices of Wines and a Preis-/Genuss-Einschätzung specified.
Everything is considered in particular the level of Schaffhausen's Pinot Noir is very high. It had many wines with good flavor and harmonious fruit. Even in 2009 there was little to lower acid wines. My compliments to the winemaker.
E & E Gasser-Bircher ( www.gb-weine.ch / info@gb-weine.ch) Sauvignon Blanc 2009
Tolle, expressive, very typical Sauvignon Blanc nose . Exotic fruit, citrus flavors, nice spice. On the palate plenty of fruit, citrus flavors again and almost peppery spice. Very lively acidity. A wine with character, very typical of the variety. Compliment! Vvpunkte 17, 2010-2012. For 17 francs a strong buy recommendation.
Pinot Noir Late Harvest 2009
Fruity nose, red berries, some smoke, very discreet touch of wood, very typical of the variety. On the palate until soft start, lots of red berries, very velvety tannins, fresh acidity. In lasting finish the alcohol does something noticeable. Nice Pinot. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015. Ca. 17 francs, very good value. Pinot Noir Barrique 2009
Bright ruby, the nose still quite strongly influenced by the wood, spicy, nice Beerenaromatik, plus some herbs. On the palate, fresh, very typical of the variety, of medium stature, but well balanced with ripe tannins, for the year also wonderful fresh acidity and very balanced wood use. An elegant, sensitive vinified Pinot, bravo! 5.17 vvpunkte, 2011-2017. With "only" 20 francs a Top Buy!
Merlot / Pinot 2008 Merlot
Distinct flavors in the nose, slightly vegatil reminiscent of tomato, a little less deep than the pure Pinot. Meaty upbeat, very good structure, with brightened tannins and good acidity. Medium long finish makes fun and has reserves. 17vvpunkte, 2011-2018. 28 francs, not cheap but worth the price.
Cabador 2008
smoky peaty nose, a little cloves, stable, a slight Muffton. On the palate, soft, round kick, then very fruchtbetong, rather with moderately complex red berry aromas. A lot of acid and tannin. Well done, though not very inspiring. Vvpunkte 15, 2010-2014. Fri 19.50. No must-have.
Albert Fehr ( www.rebgut.ch / info@rebgut.ch) Pinot Noir 2009
Expressive, very himbeerige nose. On the palate, nice fruit, quite a lot of meat on the bone, flavors of gummy bears but all in all, very pinot-type manner and pure. A young and rather cool to drinking pinot for the balcony. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2013. Pinot Noir Barrique 2007
depth nose, reminiscent of a great Burgundy, great flavor. Soft palate opening, full, almost wide, but then are added beautiful tannins and a fresh acidity carrying the red berry flavors well, back to a nice spiciness and a little Lakrizze. Very complex wine. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015.
2006 Pinot Noir / Dornfelder (50%)
little herbaceous nose, nice fresh fruity palate-opener, it was more mundane aromas with a solid structure. Gerbstoffgerüst good. Vvpunkte 15, 2010-2013.

Simple, clear Pinot nose, very typical of the variety, good berry fruit. On the palate, fruity, simple structure, easily digestible with a good glaze. Cool to drinking, uncomplicated Pinot pleasure. 5.14 vvpunkte, 2010-2012.
Pinot Noir Late Harvest 2009
right wood said nose, subtle aromas of Pinot. On the palate, very distinctive, beautiful red berry fruit, moderately complex, but with good Gerbstoffgerüst. Not particularly deep but done very well. Vvpunkte 15, 2010-2014.

Pinot Noir 2008
Rustic smoky nose, quite interesting with a mineral, volcanic note. Good start, a lot of fruit, Gletscherzältli, harmonious acidity, moderate tannin. No paragon of complexity but a very harmonious wine. 15 vvpunkte, 2010-2014. For 12 francs a very good Pinot.
2009 Pinot Noir barrel samples from the expansion
yet coined Gletscherzältli flavors dominate the expressive, fruity nose. On the palate, fleshy, round with very low acidity. Character has less to drink than the '08, rather young. 5.14 vvpunkte, 2011-2013. Also 12 francs, a fair price for a good table wine.

After the first bottle had a cork taint creeping presented the 2nd Bottle much better. Typical Pinot nose, good, fruity palate, medium build, rather rustic but not boring and uneventful with good acidity, and nature reserves. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2014. For about 16 francs a very good value. Pinot Noir Barrique 2008
Clear wood note, a lot of spice, a hint of cassis, white pepper. Great taste, very elegant, classic, good structure, wonderful lively acidity and solid finish. A very characterful Pinot with corners and edges and reserves. Very inspiring. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2011-2017. 25 francs, priced at the upper limit.
Cuvée Primeur (50% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon 35% Cabernet Franc 15%)
shows in the nose, the slightly herbaceous flavor of Cabernet Franc. On the palate, only a whole load of fruit, then resist spicy at the same solid structure. The wine combines fruit and power exquisitely. Like Enrico Trapletti presses in Ticino top grapes his "Trapletti" in stainless steel tanks and an inter-esting attempt this assemblage the Bordeaux varieties: remove it without wood. Getting used to, but I like it. 17 vvpunkte. 2010-2014. At 20 francs worth clearly a sin.
Le Rêve expanded in 2006
classic Bordeaux blend in the barrel. Coca-Cola very ripe nose tends to oxidize. On the palate, supple, round, more modern looking, again cola flavors (Cola Fröschli) remind me of Bordeaux copies of the new world. A flatterer at the level of a simple, more modern Cru Bourgeois made. To be the dream must, in my view still worked somewhat. The Cuvée Future shows that the facilities were there. 5.14 vvpunkte. 2010-2013. With about 30 francs no pattern.
forest Meier ( www.fasshotel.ch / waldmeier@fasshotel.ch) presented Unfortunately, the two wines this good is not good from the side. The 2007 Pinot Noir selection was already clear oxidative notes. The 2005 Pinot Noir barrel was definitely well over the zenith and no longer edible.
Whether it's up to the exclusive bottled in half bottles (which are known to mature more quickly) or on the vinification I can not judge. Too bad, these documents might well potential.

fresh, berry nose, tobacco note, red berry. Fleichiger, upbeat, very creamy, rather low acidity and moderately strong tannins. A correct Pinot, not more. Drink young and cool. 5.14 vvpunkte. 13:50 francs. Pinot Noir Barrique 2008
maturity nose, cooked berry aroma. On the palate a bit better but also because quite cooked fruit, reminds me a little Pinot Valais. The tannins are fine and soft, the acidity deep right. Vvpunkte 15, 2010-2014. 15 francs.

Great berry fruit, fine flavor, slightly smoky, mineral, very deep. Wonderful palate, a bouquet of berries, elegant, spicy, not cooked with good structure with rather low acidity. Very harmonious finish. A nice Pinot with reserves. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2015. For 14 francs a top value.
Pinot Noir Old Vines 2009
Classic, deep Pinot nose, smoky back components. On the palate, intense, a lot of meat on the bones, yet very elegant and very fresh. There is nothing of too much or too little. 16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015. For almost 15 francs a highlight. Pinot Noir Barrique 2008
Wow, a Burgundian nose, deep, smoky, complex, with lovely spicy touch, a little thyme. On the palate, then an explosion of flavors, red and blue berries, spices, pepper, beautifully fresh and mineral, dense and yet not clumsy. Pinot elegance at its finest. This is top! Vvpunkte 18, 2010-2017. For 20 francs an absolute highlight.
Trottenfüür 2009 (Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot)
little herbaceous nose, still very young and impetuous. On the palate, almost sweet-looking candy aromas, plenty of fruit, very round, soft tannins. Quite modern and to me a bit too mainstream. 5.15 vvpunkte. 2010-2014. 17 francs.

Herbaceous, slightly reductive nose, a little peat eingies at depth with Burgundian overtones. On the palate, very fruity, lots of red berries, delicate flavor and rather low acidity. Vvvpunkte 15, 2010-2014.
Pinokrat 2007
greasy nose, reminiscent of the Bacon-Snacketti of doubt, do something Lakrizze. On the palate fresh, spicy, very elegant body, good balance of fruit, acidity and tannin, a bit too heavy wood. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2015.
Pinokrat 2009
Berry nose, very alcoholic with hints of Porto, a little banana. Meaty, wide mouth, a lot of power but clearly at the expense of elegance. The acid is low, the wine seems a bit clumsy. Lives of clearly the fruit. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2013.

What a lovely Pinot nose, very typical of the variety, fresh, nice flavor. On the palate, lovely fruit, powerful but not coarse, very well balanced with good acidity and a lot of soft, ripe tannins. still quite stressed wood nose, nice spice, a little cassis, vanilla, coffee, and thyme. Soft palate opening, smoky, mineral components, lots of red berry fruit very sound structure, vocal, ripe tannins. Another highlight. 18 vvpunkte. 2010-2017. For 23 francs a clear Best Buy.

sweet, lightly cooked nose. On the palate, slender statute, nice fruit, light oak spice, good melt at rather low tannin. 5.14 vvpunkte. 2010-2013. 26 francs.

right dark color, nice Beerenaromatik. On the palate, powerful, a lot of fruit, for a Pinot but also quite wide. Good tannic structure. 5.15 vvpunkte, 2010-2015. A nice wine for 22 francs. Pinot Noir Barrique 2008
Very intense woody note which is actually existing fruit marginalized. On the palate, really well structured with robust tannins and acid stimulating but unfortunately too strongly dominated by wood, the fruit is covered completely. Too bad. 5.14 vvpunkte, 2010-2015. 22 francs.
Pinot Noir Edition 2008
makes As expected, the 100% new oak very noticeable. The wine smells only after barrel - a barrel very good indeed - but is far too much. Acid and tannin were there, but the fruit is totally in the background, the wood covers to any Pinot-typicality. For me 14 vvpunkte because überholzt. Oak-lovers should love the wine. 2010-2016. 35 francs.

7 Pinot Noir Selection 2007
Very nice nose, a lot of wood but also intense berry note. On the palate, very balanced and well structured. Nice fruit flavors, precise use of wood, powerful but elegant, lovely tannins good acidity. Long finish. A very nice Pinot Noir 17.5vvpunkte, 2010-2017. The 33 francs are appropriate.
No. 9 Pinot Noir Estate Reserve 2007
rather overcooked nose, slightly Porto-like. to drink Very powerful palate, great tannins, very fine, very soft, flattering and comfortable. Aromatic very intense and complex, but for me the overall impression a bit over-the-top - say, a touch more elegance to the wine would do well. Vvpunkte 16, 2010-2014. 45 francs.
4 Pinot Noir Selection 2009
Nice, spicy nose, deep and strong. Very fleshy palate herrilche fruit, not clumsy but perfectly balanced. Not very long in the finish but very consistent. Beautiful wine. Vvpunkte 16, 2010-2016. Much wine for 21 francs.

Very nice Pinot aromas, a hint of "green" resonates with what the wine is good stands. Slim prelude, then a lot of spice, some tannin and good acid. The wine has character and reserves, is perhaps a little too tight on the Gerbstoffseite what I like but good. Vvpunkte 16, 2010-2016. Very good wine for 17 francs.
Pinot Noir 2009 7:00 Cepages
typical Pinot nose, lots of spice. On the palate very well, again nice spicy touch, nice berry fruit, lots of character, acidity, tannin structure and fruit all in perfect balance. This is fun. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2010-2016. 20:50 francs for a very good value. Pinot Noir Barrique 2007

Pinot Noir "R" 2008
rather modest, not at all expressive nose, very deep, nice spice, mineral. On the palate, fresh red berry fruit, very fine tannins and stimulating acidity, structure and full of character and good. Still need to find some time to his full balance, however - he will. 5.16 vvpunkte, 2011-2017. 34 francs.
Aan-me 2008 (Pinot Noir)
fruity on the nose as the "R". On the palate with plenty of finesse, very good body, elegant, feminine, but just worked perfectly precise. A wine that is a 2nd View (or swallowing) need to understand it. But then you realize that the individual components fit together perfectly. For me, a tad better than the "R" - or shall we say - a tad different. Vvpunkte 17, 2011-2017.
